About Sighnaghi

A small hilltop town in Kakheti wrapped in an 18th-century wall, looking out over the vineyards of the Alazani valley to the Caucasus beyond. Georgia has been making wine in clay qvevri here for 8,000 years — the oldest winemaking tradition on earth.
